The 9th annual 'Texas State Championship' was held at Danny's Sports Bar & Grill on Thu. March 8th through Sun. March 11th.

   The turn out was fantastic, with a record number of 104 registered players for 7 main events, held in 3 days. Over $38,000 in prize money was paid out to 76 players and sponsors.

   Danny's would like to thank all the players and sponsors for making this the best Texas State Championship ever.

   A great tournament is accomplished, only by having a great staff running it. Many thanks to  Linda Nobles and Mollie D' Spain for having the registration desk run so smooth. Kelly Cameron, Brian Walker, Howard Mouton and Johnny Ballard for setting and adjusting boards. Bill Rice and Brian Walker, an outstanding job on the bracket boards. Mahlon Nobles, the best plaques ever, pictures, computer work, and anything else that needed done. Brian Walker, founder of the Texas State Championship, for keeping everything going and running smoothly.

   Next Year the tournament moves to, The Post in Cedar Park. Let's make it even bigger and better, something all Texans can be proud of.
