WHOPPING $14,000.00!!!

The benefit fundraiser started on Friday June 15th and concluded Sunday the 17th consisting with the following items; 25% of entry and Sponsor Money; 125 silent auction items; Friday night sausage wraps; Saturday night BBQ plates; 50/50 raffles; BBQ grill donated by Ron & Debbie Bowers, raffle tickets will continue to be sold until the Texas Open  (CLICK HERE for flyer) on Labor Day Weekend, when the winner will be drawn; $1 grab items; Karaoke tips; Shuffleboard tips and Individual donations. Dave Shewbridge - "Shewprints" fantastic T-shirts were a red hot item and everyone appreciates his hard work and expense, "Ata Boy, Dave".

Well over 100 Players, Families and Friends from Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas assembled for perhaps one of the most overwhelming and inspirational Shuffleboard gatherings most of us have ever seen.

Credit for the spectacular success of this benefit belongs to everyone having taken part including the organizers, players and donators. Listing everyone responsible isn't feasible to complete, we would be afraid of leaving someone out.

However, I will list individual cash donations sent by players whom were not able to attend, they are as follows; Harvey & Lilly Kidd, Bill & Nancy Rice, Steve Walker, Lola Gillebaard, Jack Davis, Cliff Visel, Patricia Bennett and any others we may have failed to mention. We wish each of you to be well and hope to see you soon, thank you.

We would also like to extent our appreciation for cash donations received from local players Sallie White for $1,000 and Mike Taylor & Craig White for $500. Again, it would be near impossible to include everyone making cash donations, so again, we thank you.

Thus far, additional cash donations are over $3,600  having been raised by other Shuffleboard Interests and Friends.

They include;

Danny’s Sports Bar & Grill (and a Special thanks to Danny Norris for allowing us the use of his Website)

Triple Crown Sports Bar

Champion Shuffleboard

Missouri Shufflers

Indiana Shuffleboard Hall of Fame

Bobby Goldsmith's Pawn Shop

River City Dart Assn.

This is certainly long from being over; Tom & Lynda French still need our help. Doctors are confident Chris will progress over the next several months, with several more skin grafts, during which he should improve his mobility and not be confined to a wheel chair or bed. Once he is able to return home, he will require several years of additional grafts, therapy and rehabilitation.

The French Family has paved the road ahead for many, with years of inspirational dedication towards family values and Shuffleboard Fellowship. With this in mind, there has been a lesson to be learned, for each of us.

If you wish to make contributions, please do so by sending them to;
